An international conference on the sustainable control of vector-borne infectious diseases opened on December 5 in Haikou, capital of south China's Hainan Province. With the aim of coping with global changes, controlling vectors, and protecting the health of all population groups, the conference was attended by more than 300 international academicians, experts, and scholars. Over the past 10 years or so, China became one of the first countries to eradicate filariasis and was granted by the World Health Organization (WHO) the certification of malaria elimination, as bilharziasis is also currently on the brink of elimination in China, according to the experts.

近年來，我國構(gòu)建覆蓋全國的病媒生物生態(tài)學(xué)、病原學(xué)和抗藥性“三位一體”監(jiān)測網(wǎng)絡(luò)，開展網(wǎng)絡(luò)直報和實時分析預(yù)警，從被動應(yīng)急控制轉(zhuǎn)變?yōu)橹鲃语L(fēng)險管控，努力創(chuàng)建無媒介生物傳染病危害的國家。同時，通過向國際提供媒介按蚊控制的中國模式，積極分享抗瘧經(jīng)驗，發(fā)揮全球引領(lǐng)作用，為實現(xiàn)“無瘧疾世界”愿景作出中國貢獻。下一步，要不斷豐富和創(chuàng)新防控策略及技術(shù)內(nèi)涵，鞏固防控成果，讓媒介生物可持續(xù)控制的創(chuàng)新理念惠及中國及全球。
